Okay, not like I need another obsession, but the fanny pack is becoming one. First, we must change the name to "belt bag", second we must put out of our mind the nylon fanny pack of the 80's where all fashion went to die. The belt bag has been on the runway for quite a few years now. Top designer's have hinted at a revival but nothing has stuck so far. I see a few here and there but they don't seem to be "in your face" at all. I actually had to search quite awhile to find ones that I thought were cool. I discovered this cool website
www.etsy.com where the below products are from. Besides, this website, I will be checking out some vintage and/or 2nd hand stores for fabby designer ones so I can rock my belt bag like my fabby friends Alex and Sandy!

thanks for the props! :) as a pretty busy working mom, i love the practicality of hands-free purse access. two hands free to subdue or carry the three-year-old is always needed. as an organization freak, i truly appreciate the succinct nature of a small bag -- a place for everything with everything in its place, and no room for extra sh$% like a big bag allows. my hobo version is super soft leather and perfectly appointed with spots for my celly, lip gloss and wallet. i especially love taking it on holiday! i have loved wearing mine for years now, and feeling a little against the grain, but... ok! let's bring it back! :)
ReplyDeleteOh! I lurve your Hobo fanny pack...I mean belt bag!! I even googled for it but there isn't a hobo one in existence anymore...at least not that I could tell...I will keep searching! ALex has a lovely one too but she got it from a vendor in Soho...think I'm gonna have to search some vintage markets. Thanks for the comment!
ReplyDeleteP.S. i swear by etsy. most of the neat ideas and goods i got for eric's bday party this year was from there. do a search on star wars and blow your mind! :)
