Keri's Fab Finds: Tracy Matthews Custom Jewelry

Tracy is a friend of mine who I have known since back in our Nordstrom days. It seems that was the starting point for both our fashion careers, hers in jewelry and mine in apparel. She really did have a passion for all things bridal. She designed a pair of earrings for me for a wedding and, to this day, her wedding is still one of the most beautiful and elegant weddings I've ever been to. And if you know me, you know that I don't float those compliments easy, especially about weddings! I love her point of difference and the funkiness she brings to fine jewelry. A lover of many things, I adore beauty, art, fashion, and most of all vintage jewelry. I remember, as a child, sketching wedding dresses and imagining creating beautiful things for brides. Perhaps this is what led me to start creating jewelry for bridal parties.

My focus shifted over the years from the bridal market to contemporary jewelry. I later added men’s jewelry and fine jewelry into the mix. My business grew from selling to individuals to selling to over 350 boutiques and specialty stores internationally. I developed a fan base of celebrities (Halle Berry, Orlando Bloom, Kris Allen, David Cooke, Jessica Alba and Rachel Ray). I was featured in fashion magazines, TV shows and on the big screen. In 2006, I was recognized as one of Gen Art’s “Fresh Faces in Fashion.” In 2007, I was awarded the honor of “JCK Rising Star.”

After 11 years, I decided to change directions and work directly with clients designing bespoke engagement rings, wedding bands, partnership rings and special pieces for just about any occasion.
